Gear Review : Yamaha Pacifica 012
FEATURES : \m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/
The strat shaped guitar is made of Agathis wood. It has 2 single coils and a humbucker. A 5 way pickup selector. Making it a very versatile guitar. It comes with a volume and tone knob. To get those impossible vibratos you have a one way tremolo bar. Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard. I hope you haven’t slept yet.
PLAYABILITY : \m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/
The Yamaha has medium rosewood frets good for the little ones, as it is a beginner’s favorite. It is not one of the heaviest piece of wood you would have carried. The action in most Pacifica guitars is comfortable. They come with 9 gauge strings. But I feel with the 10′s it would sound paramount.
SOUND : \m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/
The single coils sound very clean and warm enough to soak you in the sun. The Humbucker is a fair one, nice for an overdrive. It’s a little weak if you are thinking to blow the amp. I don’t feel any competitor can make this machine at this price. You can go with this axe on stage without conceiving that the drummer will overshadow you.

RELIABILITY / DURABILITY : \m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/
It’s a sturdy guitar with good built quality. I have seen it bump here and there and it feels like the guitar ignores the nudge. You would rarely face a problem regarding the longevity of the product.
VALUE FOR MONEY : \m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/\m/
One of the best guitar for the price. Worth every penny. You won’t regret it. The diversity in the sound is something very helpful for players who are still trying to found what music they like to play. I don’t feel any competitor can make this machine at the price.
