Young Blood IV : Erased Undead

Erased Undead is a 6 piece death-core band from Kolkata. The band was formed in early 2010, when vocalist Pratik and drummer Koustav’s post-hardcore project Psycho Android disbanded. Pratik’s childhood friend Neerajan joined as guitarist to form Erased Undead. After minor line-up changes, the current line up came together in late 2010. Band’s average age group is 17 to 21.

The collective intentions of the band is to create pure, brutal, skull-fucking death-core. Though every member has their different musical backgrounds and personal favorites, the collective and in-general favorites and influences of the band are BORN OF OSIRIS, CARNIFEX, VEIL OF MAYA, DESPISED ICON, SUICIDE SILENCE, PERIPHERY, UNDYING INC, BRING ME THE HORIZON, WHITE CHAPEL, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, ALL SHALL PERISH etc. Non-musical influences include red bull, bong and herbal doping products.

The band’s demo was featured in got-djent.com. They were also featured by the DJENT-LEMEN’S CLUB, UK and THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY DJENTLEMEN. The band’s demo played at a radio station in France and also at a metal pub in France and has been also featured by GLOBAL METAL MELTDOWN on youtube..

Since being formed in early 2010, they have been to college competitions all over Kolkata, winning 7 and coming runners up at 1 of them. They even have played at THE PIT V.4 and PIT V5., the biggest metal fest in kolkata.
